I am Dr. Susana Lozada-Murray, a Florida-licensed psychologist trained in working with many types of mental health issues. My expertise has been in treating and performing evaluations for depression, anxiety, learning disabilities, ADHD, and personality disorders. Using a combination of solution-focused therapies, supportive therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), I conduct individual therapy for adolescents and adults.

My educational and training background includes earning a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico and a Master’s and a Doctor of Psychology degree from the Florida School of Professional Psychology. My training experiences include working in a variety of treatment settings, including private practices, a college counseling center, forensic settings, an inpatient hospital and a public school district. I completed my internship at Northeast Florida State Hospital, where I began gaining experience in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and working with severe mental illness. During my post-doctoral fellowship at Hillsborough County Public Schools, I had the opportunity to work with children from a variety of backgrounds.

My expertise and main area of interest focuses on performing evaluations pertaining to immigration issues. I have a passion for working with the Latino population, and I often collaborate with immigration attorneys in the Tampa Bay area to provide services to this underserved population. In my free time, I enjoy the company of family and friends, traveling to new destinations, and exercising.
